At 6:06pm Saturday, Southeast Rural Fire & Rescue responded to S 56th & Saltillo Road on a report of a two vehicle accident. While enroute, units were notified that a patient may be trapped and is possibly not breathing.
Upon arrival, scanner traffic indicated that extrication of a patient in an involved van was needed, and the scene commander requested StarCare and LFR to respond.
Shortly after, The patient was extricated, LFR was cancelled, and transported by Southeast crews to Bryan West in a non-emergent fashion.
StarCare was also cancelled, but they continued toward Eagle Raceway to land for a pre-planned medical standby.
