On Monday just after 7 pm, Lincoln Police officers responded to an unidentified Lincoln hospital for a report of a walk-in stab wound victim. The victim and several witnesses were able to identify the suspect as 27-year-old Seth Hansen.
Tuesday just after 10:30 pm, officers located Hansen in the 3700 Block of Sheridan Blvd. While attempting to talk with Hansen, he fled on foot into his residence.
Attempts to contact Hansen inside the residence were unsuccessful, and LPD was eventually able to gain consent to enter by another resident. Officers utilized a police service dog to locate Hansen behind a bed in the basement, where he was taken into custody without incident.
