In a media release this morning, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office released the identity of the pair of suspects involved in a Saturday morning officer-involved shooting.

20-year-old Christian Alexander of Wyoming has been identified as the male suspect who was rushed to a Lincoln hospital from the scene in critical condition. He remains in critical condition.

30-year-old Hailey Stainbrook, also of Wyoming, was identified as the female suspect who succumbed to her injuries the day of the shooting. She had an outstanding warrant for narcotics in Virginia.

Stainbrook was shot by law enforcement at the scene after negotiations, following the shootout with Alexander, failed, and she produced a weapon.

The Sheriff’s Office also said the vehicle involved in the pursuit and subsequent officer-involved shooting, a Chevy Trailblazer, was stolen from a Cheyenne, Wyoming motel just days before the shooting.
